Rotary Nozzles: A Modern Middle Ground

Rotary nozzles are a newer option that screws onto a standard spray-head body but throws slow-rotating streams like a mini rotor. They deliver a low precipitation rate with excellent uniformity and reach medium distances, roughly the gap between sprays and full rotors. Their gentle, even application resists wind drift and reduces runoff, which matters a lot on our clay.

Problems creep in when someone swaps a broken rotor for a spray head on the same line, or vice versa, without realizing the precipitation rates no longer match.

When to Rethink Your Heads

If you have dry patches next to soggy ones, water running down the gutter, or a zone that never seems to cover evenly, mismatched or worn heads are often the cause.
